Hello everyone and thanks again for stoppin’ by! :)

So this is where I am going to tell you about myself so I hope you enjoy the revealing of my soul :)

My name is Eleni Liapakis….yes that’s right I’m Irish….Ha! Yeah right! Try 100% greek! To be more specific I am greek through and through to the core my friends…..so that should already give you a good idea of how I grew up. It was a big fat greek life and I am so thankful that it was. I grew up in East Hartford, CT and had honestly the most wonderful childhood. My parents pushed strong tradition and values onto my brother and I and I would have to say that we honestly came out to be extremely well rounded, successful and most importantly, grateful human beings. I can only thank my parents for that.

After I graduated high school I moved on to graduate college with a B.S. in accounting and an M.B.A. in computer information systems. I then went on to pursue my career in accounting. I practiced public accounting for 2 1/2 years and then private accounting as a Controller for a fashion college in NYC for another 4 1/2 years. I know…accounting seems extremely “glamorous and stimulating”….but it just was not for me. I needed to find my passion and pursue it….life is just too short so I hit a mid life crisis just a little bit early…when I turned 30! Yes I know a bit too soon but hey – what can you do…I am just glad I came to my senses sooner than later. I had always loved interior design so I jumped in head first! I quit my J.O.B., I moved to Los Angeles, and went to school full time at FIDM….And this is where I FINALLY started living my life! Along with going to school to do something I absolutely LOVE, I also have a passion for life that consists of traveling, bikram yoga, spending time with my amazing love Matt and being a supportive and solid friend and family member….all very IMPORTANT!

So I graduated December 2008 and am now I am building my own business….and this is where I learned the biggest lesson of all.

Wanting to succeed and market myself, I stumbled into a world I never really knew existed…the world of online marketing via social media. Everyone has a product or passion we all want to “get out there” but how do we do it?…and how do we reach people who actually WANT to hear about it? After what has happened in this country people are scared, tired and most importantly LOOKING! They are looking for other ways to survive instead of dead end J.O.B.’s that end up letting them go at the end of day….and where do you think they are looking?…well I can tell you that it is not the yellow pages….it’s the INTERNET. There is a whole world out there and I have finally found it!!

It has been a great journey thus far and I cannot wait to see where this all takes me. But the answer is branding yourself and most people do not know where to even begin in this process….and that’s where I come in. I am here to help each and everyone of you who want to be helped. Join me on this journey of growth, living your passion and most of all, freedom! I have created this blog for this purpose. Not only am I learning each and everyday but I am meeting such wonderful people who are like minded and just “get it.” I have finally found where I am supposed to be.

Again thank you for joining me on this journey and I look forward to growing and connecting with you!

Yours in living in growth and with true passion,

Eleni

Hi Eleni,

I just read your website. I totally agree with you about “clutter”. In fact, I have my own cleaning business and clean my clients’ houses for many years. I am tired of cleaning around their clutter all the time. I am living in Torrington, CT and hard of hearing. I am excited to learn that you used to live in East Hartford, CT. Jonathan Budd lived in Somers, CT. I have been thinking about getting my own new blog and have some ideas but I am afraid to create it on my own. I would like to hire a developer.
(Sorry, if my english grammer is not perfect but sign language is my first language)
I like your website and think it is cool!
