Here’s the Secret!

So are you curious or what?  Don’t you want to know the secret to growth!?  Well it dawned on me yesterday during my run and when it did I just knew I had to share with all of you. It’s seems quite simple but I guarantee that it’s something you overlook. I know I do from time to time so here it is.

I hope that gives  you a little insight for the day.  So I challenge you: tomorrow do that with something in your life.  If it’s your workout or with work, just do that extra rep, that extra 10 minutes.  I promise you that is the growth and THAT is when you make a difference.  Please share with me what you end up doing and how if made a difference.

Be happy and health my friends,

Eleni

You kill me! I hate doing that one last lap or rep or ‘potato chip?’ …. Great post Eleni. I’m all about pushing yourself a bit farther than you did that last time. Thanks for the awesome tip!

Eleni, this is so insightful – and so very true.
The moment we feel like quitting is the very moment we have to give that last final effort – and so often, that’s precisely where most people give up.

Reminds me of the parable about the miners who stop digging after years of trying, and then find out that they stopped three feet short of a vein of gold.

Thanks for the reminder – and inspiration!

Awesome Secret!! I’m glad it’s not a secret to me anymore! Even everyone that works hard to stick to their routine and get their things done each day is not growing as much as they would if they pushed themselves just that little bit.
Thanks for the challenge! I can’t wait to see how I grow. :)

Yes Eleni. I love the challenge! Now if I can only go that extra 5 minutes… But yea, that’s where the growth is. Anyone who works out knows that you work your muscles or lungs or whatever to their max, then add another 3 reps or minutes… that’s when the growth happens!! Nice presentation once again.

I am down with that, Eleni! This is something that we all need to be reminded about…on a daily basis! That’s b/c every little second adds up to a minute and minutes add up to another idea, project, whatever! The point is that if you just ride it out a l-i-t-t-l-e bit longer…that’s where the juices start flowing!

Great secret giveaway!

Thanks Eleni…it is so easy to operate in your comfort zone and forget about those things that truly bring growth into your life. You may want to check out one of my blog posts on this topic of working out…it has some similar things to share:

Awesome tip, thanks Eleni!

When I was a personal trainer, I used to tell my clients however many reps they had for that set, and randomly would add 1-3 more on the end. They hated me in the moment, but the results really did speak for themselves! And yes, this is so true in life. Always push just a little farther than is comfortable and the rewards will be oh-so sweet! :)

Thanks for the inspiration!

Awesome awareness! I notice that I can go a little bit further when I run, if I just push myself a few minutes more the day before. Stretching, growing & expanding ourselves by moving past our comfort zones! Thank you so much for sharing Eleni :)
